No fewer than 19 aggrieved candidates are challenging the outcome of the last March 9 Ogun State House of Assembly Polls, before the State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal.
The APM has the highest number of 12 petitions filed before the Tribunal , the APC (six petitions), while the remaining one is by a PDP member, Doctor Kassim Taofik who is contesting the party’s ticket with Syvester Abiodun, winner for the Ijebu North-One Constituency.
Petitioners on the APM platform include, the State Assembly Chief Whip, Idowu Olowofuja, Johnson Sotayo, Owolabi Oluwawemimo, Sulaimon Adebayo, Tunde Sanusi, Foye Samson, Adedayo Adeneye, Kamar Sonowo and Olugbenga Odumosu.
Other APM candidates who filed petition are Idowu Segun, Oluwasogo Akinde, and Akinbode Fagbemi.
APC candidates who filed petitions are, Israel Jolaoso, Salami Fatiu, Sunday Oyesanya, Bababode Edun, Oluwatoyin Taiwo, and Jamiu Odetogun.
