18,000 Applicants Screened For Ogun Teach Scheme

Eighteen thousand candidates who applied for the Ogun Teach experience acquisition programme have undergone screening exercise for the jobs

The 18,000 were part of 21,000 who applied to fill teachers vacancies in the state’s public primaries and secondary schools under the programme

The screening exercise took place at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta; Tai Solarin College of Education, Ijebu Ode; Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro and the ICT Gateway Polytechnic, Igbessa

Education, Science and Technology Commissioner, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu monitoring the screening exercise at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, says those who pass the CBT test will proceed to the second stage, which is an oral interview

According to the commissioner, those who pass the second stage of the test will be posted to schools

Under the ogun teach experience acquisition programme, those engaged will be paid stipends and posted to schools for two years

At the end of the two year internship, those judged to have outstanding performance will be considered for permanent jobs
