Teenage suicide bombers have attacked a mosque in Bama, Borno State, leaving four worshippers dead and eight others injured.
The attack took place as worshippers offered prayers in a mosque in the town which is located 75 kilometres to Maiduguri.
The bombers, including a boy and a girl, sneaked into the mosque, during the five o’clock morning prayers and detonate the improvised explosive device strapped to their bodies.
Chairman of Bama local government, Shehu Guluba, confirmed that four of the worshippers died and eight injured in the explosion.
Also, ten people have been killed during attack by armed bandits on Kpanche community in Bassa local government area of Kogi State.
Five of the bandits were among the ten people killed the attack on Sunday morning, which was repelled by security forces.
The state police commissioner, Ali Janga, addressing newsmen said the bandits were killed by security forces, including policemen and soldiers who promptly responded to distress calls from the area.
The commissioner said the bandits set houses, vehicles, tricycles and motorcycles in the town.
He explained that mobile policemen and soldiers deployed to the community has restored normalcy.
