131 licensed operators have been selected by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for this year’s Hajj, by Nigeria’s intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

The commission’s head of media, Alhaji Uba Maina, in a statement, said they were appointed after scaling through the pre-qualification exercise, which began last December.

He explained that 176 operators applied for appointment as the 2017 Hajj operators.

The 45 operators, who were disqualified have been given until February 28 to re-apply for the Hajj licence.

“The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has released the list of successful Hajj licensed operators for 2017.

“This followed the December 2016 pre-qualification exercise for the 176 companies which applied for the 2017 license.

“Meanwhile, the 45 disqualified companies have till February 28 to appeal their disqualification,” Mana said.
