128 people died in various auto crashes recorded last September nationwide, according to the federal road safety corps (FRSC).
2,254 persons were also injured during the period.
The agency in its monthly road traffic report said the deaths were recorded in 673 auto crashes.
The report added that one thousand and 99 vehicles were involved in the accidents, including 366 cars, 224 mini buses and 209 motorcycles.
Federal capital territory recorded the highest number of 81 auto crashes and 22 deaths during the period.
Trailing Abuja are Kaduna, Niger, Ogun, Yobe and Oyo states.
The highest number of crashes were recorded along Kaduna-Abuja highway, followed by Lagos-Ibadan and Abuja-Lokoja roads.
