Police IGP Says Force Is Facing Acute Shortage Of Personnel And Equipment

Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu says the Police Force is facing an acute shortage of personnel to effectively cope with the rising security challenges in the country.

Adamu also says the Force is facing shortage of funds, and equipment to function well.

The Police Chief announces this while speaking to newsmen after a close session with Senators at the National Assembly, Abuja.

He promises that the rising security challenges will be effectively tackled if the listed challenges facing the Police Force are addressed.

The Senate promises to provide adequate budgetary support for the Police.
