Police Service Commission says, it will resume this week, the final process of the ongoing recruitment of 10,000 constable cadre into the Police Force.
The commission had last week suspended the recruitment process, which is now at its final stage, after the aptitude test in which 80,724 shortlisted candidates participated.
The commission in a statement by its spokesman, Ikechukwu Ani, says it will meet this week, during which dates for medical screening of successful candidates in the aptitude test will be made public.
Asking candidates not to panic, the commission promises that the recruitment exercise will soon be over and names of the successful 10,000 candidates made public.
315 thousand and 32 persons applied for the 10,000 Police constable jobs, when the commission closed the application portal last January.
The Police Force is also about to begin the recruitment of 40,000 personnel into the proposed Community Police Force.
