A meeting convened by the Ondo State Government with the organized labour to end the three day old strike by workers on its payroll has ended without any agreement.
The workers are on strike over unpaid five months salaries.
Chairman of the state joint public service negotiaiting council, Sunday Adeleye, addressing newsmen after the meeting with government officials in Akure, said the strike would continue until the salary arrears is cleared.

Meanwhile, the striking Ekiti State civil servants have rejected Governor Ayodele Fayose’s plea to suspend their strike and enter into negotiations with his government.
Already, the state house of assembly has intervened by meeting with the labour leaders.
Labour leaders said they are ready for talks on the unpaid five month salaries, but would not call off the strike until government show certain level of commitment to pay the salaries arrears.Please subscribe to our newsletter
