Six people have lost their lives in a fatal auto crash along the Lagos –Ibadan expressway, close to the Abeokuta-Sagamu interchange.
The accident which occurred around 2:21 pm, involved a commercial vehicle marked FKJ 297 AJ, and an Iveco truck marked LND 902 XE.
The driver and all the passengers in the commercial vehicles died in the crash. All the passengers are females.
Spokeman of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Commander Babatunde Akinbiyi, said the commercial vehicle heading from Lagos rammed into the truck from behind.
He said, “The accident was caused by speeding by the driver of the Nissan Quest commercial vehicle, who rammed his car into a moving Iveco truck from behind, killing all the occupants.
“I could not say where the vehicle was travelling to, but it was coming from Lagos.”
