Senegal President Macky Sall has warned that terror groups like Al-Qaida are on the rise in Africa.
Sall also warned of the spread of Africa’s Homegrown terrorists boko haram and Aqim (Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb) to nearby countries such as Burkina Faso and the Ivory Coast.
The Senegalese president says the west must work closely with the African Union and the United Nations to preserve the African Countries – and prevent the rise of Radicalism in Africa.”
He believes it was a mistake for the west to have overthrown Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi in 2011 which has precipitated even more unrest in the region.
Sall said Gadhafi and the resultant spread of Libyan terrorists throughout Africa were not coincidences.
