An elder statesman, Senator Femi Okunronmu, has indicted the national assembly for altering the 2018 budget.
Okunronmu speaking to newsmen in Abeokuta, asked President Muhammadu Buhari to beam his anti-corruption campaign on members of the national assembly, who he described as very corrupt.
He, however, said that Buhari has no choice but to sign the budget bill, because he lacks the courage to confront them.
Accusing the lawmakers of being fraudulent, the senator said they also introduced extra illegal amount to argument their allowances.
Okunronmu alleged that national assembly members are among the most corrupt people in Nigeria.
He argued that it is immoral for Nigerians to allow lawmakers who are corrupt to continue to make laws for the country.Please subscribe to our newsletter
