SARS overhaul committee to begin psychiatric test on all personnel

Force Headquarters said that all personnel of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) are to undergo a psychiatric test.

Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of operations, Joshak Habila, who announces this at a meeting with SARS commanders at the force headquarters in Abuja, said that a committee is to begin immediate visit to all cells nationwide.

Habila in a tweet by head of the force public complaints rapid response unit, Abayomi Sogunle, also told the commanders that only those of them found competent will remain as commanders in the proposed new federal anti-robbery squad (F-SARS).

According to him, any of the SARS commanders which failed to meet acceptable standard will be redeployed.
