Resident doctors allege being short-changed

Resident doctors have protested that they are being short-changed by Federal Teaching Hospitals.

The national association of resident doctors, said it will fight the faulty placement and grading of its members in federal hospitals, particularly in 12 of the hospitals.

The association’s spokesman, Doctor Ugoeze Asinobi, addressing newsmen in Yenagoa, said the decision was reached at the extraordinary meeting of the association over the weekend in Abuja.

The resident doctors asked the presidency to capture the full Renumeration of resident doctors in the proposed 2017 budget to prevent another round of strike in 2017.

The doctors also asked to be enrolled into the integrated personnel payroll system before end of next month.
