House of Reps asks FG to open its job portal to all applicants
House of Representatives has directed the Federal Civil Service Commission to make its portal for the ongoing recruitment into the Federal Civil Service, accessible to all intending applicants.
The commission is also asked to declare the vacant posts, the number of slots, and their distribution to the states, according to the federal character principle.
The House took the decision, following the adoption of a motion by Henry Archibong, Solomon Maren and Mustapha Dawakin.
Archibong in the motion accused the commission of deliberately shutting out thousands of qualified applicants from the advertised position through its portal that could not be accessed.
The commission, he alleged opened the portal between 2 am and 2.15 am in the past few days, thereby paving the way for the recruitment of children, cronies and friends of the high and mighty in the society.
