‘The Flying Antelope’ finished on 63 points from 36 matches, three points ahead of runners-up rivers united.
Both teams will represent Nigeria in next year’s CAF Champions League, while third-placed Wikki Tourists, who defeated Sunshine Stars 2-0, will feature in the CAF confederation cup.
Also, coach Abdu Maikaba has made history after leading Wikki Tourists to play international football next year at the second time of asking.
Despite operating a shoe-string budget, Wikki leap frogged FC Ifeanyiubah on the final day of the season Sunday when they defeated sunshine stars 2-0 at home to finish in third place on 57 points.
Ifeanyiubah lost 1-0 at 10-Man MFM FC to finish on 56 points.
Wikki also produced the season’s Goal King, Godwin Obaje, who scored 18 goals.
