All police officers handling firearms in Lagos and Ogun states are to undergo psychiatric test to determine their mental condition.

Assistant Inspector General in-charge of zone two, Abdulmajid Ali, made this known while receiving the medical team from the force headquarters that would conduct the test at the zonal headquarters at Onikan in Lagos.

The medical team, he said included experts and trained psychiatrists from the police medical department, and Melville Health Care Centre in Abuja.

Ali said personnel of the police mobile force and special anti-robbery squad will attend a workshop to kick-start the medical exercise.
