Police nabs robbery syndicate terrorizing Ogun and Lagos

Members of a robbery syndicate who have been terrorizing people in Ogun and Lagos states have been arrested by operatives of the intervention squad of the police zone two command.

The operatives, according to the police Zone Two Command Spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, effected their arrest after tracking their activities through the handsets stolen from some of their victims.

Adejobi said the arrest of one of the suspects, Lekan Akinola, led to the arrest other members of the squad identified as Mutiu Oyekan, Akeem Sanusi, Olahusi Razaq, Kazeem Oladipupo, Waheed Amusan and four others.

He said the suspects confessed to carrying out robbery operations in 15 areas, including Adigbe in Abeokuta, Ifo, Ota, Ewekoro, Mowe, Abata, and Iju in Lagos and Ogun states.

The police image makers listed items recovered from the suspects included refrigerators, laptops, plasma television sets, electricity generators, wears and electrical appliances.
