Pipeline Attack: Militants Cut Nigeria’s daily Oil Output by 300,000 barrels

Militants of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) have blown up another strategic oil pipeline in its renewed attack on Oil/Gas installations in the Niger Delta Region.

The latest attack on Tuesday is on the Nembe Creek Trunkline pipeline in Bayelsa State, affected 300,000 barrels of oil daily.

The pipeline operated by shell, Oando and AGIP, was used to send 300,000 barrels of oil daily from flow stations to the bonny export terminal in Rivers State.

Last week, the militant group also claimed responsibility for attack on another major export pipeline in delta state.

Last August, the militant group, whose attacks on the oil and gas pipeline reduced Nigeria’s  daily oil output from over two million barrels to around one million barrels, last month had suspended the attacks to join the dialogue with the presidency.
