PDP FIXES NATIONAL CONVENTION FOR MAY 21 IN PORT HARCOURT.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has fixed may 21 for the conduct of its national convention in Port Harcourt, the rivers state capital. The national convention is to be proceeded by congresses beginning from April 23. PDP national chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff, who announced the decision in a communiqué issued at the end of the party’s national executive council in Abuja. The council also approved four special committees, including national convention committee, reconciliation committee, the zoning committee and finance committee to organize the proposed national convention. Also, the tenure of the interim national chairman and those of all organs of the party at all levels was extended until the conduct of the national convention, with the exception of Ondo and Edo states.
