Oil Producers say LPG Price not Competitive

Oil Producers

The Price of domestic cooking gas may further go up, as major oil producers complain that the price is far below the production cost of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

Oil Producer Trade Section of the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce and Industry at a Forum in Lagos, calls for the deregulation of the domestic gas price.

Chairman of the oil producer, Mr Clay Neff, says the price of gas must be competitive to cover the development, production and transport cost of gas.

The Oil Producers also want enabling commercial fiscal term, adequate infrastructure, refund of outstanding gas invoice, and sufficient funding of the gas industry.
