Ogun state government plans to roll out a new intervention programme to create food security, new jobs and produce raw material for factories in the state.
Agriculture commissioner, Mrs Ronke Sokefun, made this known in Abeokuta at the commodity alliance forum for cassava stakeholder, organized by the state government, the Federal Government , the international fund for Agriculture (IFAD) and the assisted value chain development programme.
The commissioner asked participants at the stakeholder forum to take advantage of the credit scheme whenever it is released.
President of the state chapter of the all farmers association of Nigeria, Prince Segun Dasaolu, thanked the State Government for the vision of the assisted value chain development programme.
