Ogun rewards Paralympic with N1m and training kit

Ogun state government has given N1 million Naira and a training kit to Mrs Latifat Tijani, an indigene of Ogun state, who won a silver medal at the just concluded Paralympic in Brazil.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun presented the donation to the athlete during a meeting of the State Executive Council at the Governor’s Office, Abeokuta, also gave N500,000 to her coach, Mrs Kemi Oyebolu.

Also at the request of the athlete, the governor directed the Secretary to the state government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, to collect the curriculum vitae of her husband, Oyeleke Tijani for employment.

The athlete who is an indigene of the Abeokuta north local government area, thanked the governor for the gesture.

She competed in the 45 kilogramme category in weight lifting and lifted 106 kilogramme weight.
