OGUN GOVERNMENT OFFERS LAND FOR LAGOS’ MILE 12 FOODSTUFF MARKET

Ogun state government has offered to host traders ejected from the mile 12 foodstuff market in Lagos, after the recent bloody clashes in the market. The traders following their ejection from the mile 12 market by the Lagos state government after the clashes, had temporarily relocated to the Kara cattle market, off the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. Governor Ibikunle Amosun addressing the traders on Friday, asked them to vacate Kara cattle market, to a proposed area around Ogere, near Sagamu. He later took the leaders of the traders on a visit to the site in Ogere, after which they asked for two days to move to the site. Lagos state government is still proposing relocating the market from mile 12 to Ikorodu.
