Obasanjo worried over traffic gridlock on Lagos-Ibadan Road

Lagos-Ibadan Road

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has asked Ogun State Government and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to, Jointly, address the traffic hold up along the Lagos-Ibadan and Lagos-Abeokuta Expressways.

He also asked cement plants and factories located in Ogun State to assist the state government in the rehabilitation of roads in the state.

Obasanjo, who made the call, while receiving the Ogun State sector commander of FRSC, clement Oladele, in his hilltop mansion in Abeokuta, says the traffic gridlock on Lagos-Ibadan road is becoming worrisome.

Equally worrisome to the former president is the traffic jam at the Ifo-Sango Ota axis of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, blaming it on indiscipline on the part of road users.

He, however, commended FRSC for introducing a new driver licence and new vehicle number plate.
