Niger Tornadoes have declared 11 players surplus to requirements at the end of their debut performance in the recently-concluded Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Minna-based side finished in 12th position in the top-flight campaign on 49 points, 14 behind winners Enugu Rangers.
The side, however, retained 19 players while eight were placed on standby and 11 new ones will be added to the work force for the upcoming season.
Tornadoes Head Coach, Abubakar Bala said that the decisions were made in good faith, and after a careful review of the team’s performance in the season.
Bala is expected to be confirmed as technical adviser of the side in the coming weeks to allow him to start preparations for next season. Please subscribe to our newsletter
