A militant group, the Niger Delta Avengers has resumed bombing of oil facilities in the Niger Delta region, few days to the take-off of the negotiations between the leaders in the region and the presidency.
The group claimed its members on Tuesday blew up a major crude oil export pipeline at Escravos, near Warri in Delta State.
The strategic pipeline is operated by chevron.
The group which had ceased attacks on pipeline to pave the way for a dialogue between the region and the presidency, warned oil companies not to fix the damaged pipeline.
The dialogue is expected to begin on Sunday with Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clarke, leading the Niger Delta delegation.
