Presidency has employed 200,000 graduates out of the proposed 500,000 under its N-Power Programme component of the social intervention scheme.
The Vice President’s Senior Special Assistant on media and publicity, Laolu Akande, in a statement, said the 200,000 selected graduates are awaiting the completion of Biometric Verification Number for the direct payment of their N30,000 monthly salary.
He listed the criteria adopted as including 40 per cent on the number of applicants per state, and a special mark up for six states in the north east region, as well as, discretionary addition of four states with lowest number of applicants.
For instance, Enugu State is credited with over 20,000 applicants, Zamfara (over 6,000) while Bayelsa State Registered 7,000 applicants.
