HOUSE OF REPS ASKS POLICE TO RESCUE ABDUCTED IKORODU SCHOOL GIRLS

House of Representatives has directed the inspector general of police, Solomon Arase, to effect the immediate rescue of three girls abducted by gunmen from Babington Macaulay junior seminary school, Ikorodu.

The lawmakers issued the directive as police tightened their grip on ikorodu, deploying sniffer dogs and more men to comb the creeks in the area in search of the abducted girls and their captors.

The reps after adopting a motion by honorable Babajimi Benson, also asked the police chief to arrest the gunmen.

Babajimi in his motion told the house that the incidence of insecurity is becoming worrisome in the Ikorodu axis of Lagos state.

Meanwhile, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has assured the police of the Lagos State government’s support to track down the gunmen and rescue the girls in their custody.
