Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State has sacked 15 commissioners in a major shake up of his cabinet.
The three commissioners who survived the purge are newly appointed to the culture, tourism, mineral resources as well as livestock and fishery.
The governor’s chief press secretary, Jibril Ndace, who announced the sack in a statement said the weekly meeting of the state executive council had been suspended until a new cabinet is constituted.
The three commissioners who retained their jobs are Daniel Sunday Kolo (Tourism and Culture), Muhammed Mudi (Solid Mineral) and Haruna Shehu (Livestock and Fishery).
