INEC COMMISSIONERS: Buhari sends 6 names to Senate
President Buhari has sent names of his nominees for the post of National Commissioners of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to the senate for consideration.
Buhari in two separate letters to the Senate, which were read at plenary by the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, said his appointment of national commissioners for both INEC and NPC was in accordance with the provisions of Section 154(1) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
They are Professor Okechukwu Ibeam for the South East Zone; Mary Agbamuche for the South South; Retired Air Vice Marshall Ahmed Muazu for the North East; Doctor Adekunle Ogunmola for the South West and Abubakar Nahuche for the North West Zone.
