President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of new comptroller generals for the Nigeria Immigration Service and Nigeria Prison Service.
Appointed for the immigration service is Mohammed Babandele, who until his new appointment was the deputy comptroller general of the service.
His appointment, according to the interior ministry’s permanent secretary, Bassey Okon, takes effect from May 15
He replaced Martins Abechi who retired from the service.
For the prison service, Buhari approved Ahmed Jafaru to head the service.
Jafaru who until his appointment was an assistant comptroller general, replaced Doctor Peter Ekpendu, who retired recently from service.
