A faction of boko haram sect is ready for another round of negotiations to effect the release of more 83 abducted Chibok School Girls in its custody.
President Muhammadu Buhari in an interview with Reuters, said the Al-Barnawi faction asserted that the release of 21 of the abducted Chibok Girls last week, was to assure the presidency that other 83 of the Chibok Girls are in its custody.
Buhari said the faction said it was ready to negotiate if the presidency was willing to enter into talks with its leaders on the issue.
The faction also said the remaining of the abducted Chibok school girls are in the custody of the Abubakar Shekau Faction.
Out of the 219 secondary school girls abducted from Chibok in Borno state, 22 had so far had regained their freedom, leaving 197 still in the custody of the two factions of the sect.
