Arrested Judge withdraws from Dasuki’s trial

Justice Adeniyi Ademola of a Federal High Court, Abuja, has withdrawn from the trial of former national security adviser, retired colonel Sambo Dasuki.

The Judge was one of the seven arrested by the Department of Security Service (DSS) in a sting operation for alleged official corruption.

Justice Ademola cited the DSS’ allegation against him as the reason for his withdrawal from the case.

He had also alleged being harassed by DSS for granting bail to Dasuki, who is standing trial over the disbursement from the $2.5 billion arms procurement fund, and Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of indigenous people of Biafra.
