OGUN LG POLLS: Amosun warns parties against violence
Governor Ibikunle Amosun has warned that any act of thuggery and violence will not be tolerated from any of the political parties during the Ogun state Local Government poll on Saturday.
Amosun issuing the warning at a campaign rally of APC candidates for the poll in the Sagamu and Ijebu Ode Local Government areas, said the council poll is more important than the presidential and gubernatorial election, because of the closeness of the local government to the people.
The governor said the local community development areas (LCDAS) which has divided the nine local governments in the Ogun East Senatorial district into 22 will bring more development to the area.
Promising the people in the area that the APC candidates will serve their constituencies, Amosun said his administration is aware of unfinished projects with several others which would be later attended to.
At the rally were, Deputy Governor, Mrs Yetunde Onanuga, speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Suraj Adekumnbi, members of the state executive council, and traditional rulers.###
