The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Aremu Adedotun Gbadebo, has advocated the introduction of compulsory entrepreneurship and skill acquisition in the curriculum of the country’s universities.
The Paramount Ruler made the call while receiving the vice chancellor of the federal university of Ndufu-Ikwo, Professor Chinedu Uwajiuba and the Institution’s Management Staff, at his Ake Palace in Abeokuta.
Oba Gbadebo who is the University’s Chancellor, said if such courses are made compulsory in all the Secondary and Tertiary institutions, the present and future generation of Nigerians would be labour employers and not job seekers.
He promised that as the university’s chancellor, he would do his utmost best to improve the lot of the Institution.
The Vice Chancellor said the visit was to pay homage to the chancellor after his appointment as the University’s Vice Chancellor.
